"Seeing unity in diversity is divinity and true spirituality. Study of scriptures, performing rituals, doing worship, etc., does not signify true spirituality. Recognising the unity of the Atmic principle is true spirituality. When you realise this unity, you will earn divine grace. You are always chanting, 'Sai Ram', 'Sai Ram', 'Sai Ram', but this alone will not develop devotion in you. You should imbibe the spirit of unity and chant the divine name to develop true devotion. If you have even a trace of true devotion in you, you should do good to others and live in harmony with them. Do not hate anyone. Love all. If you have love and faith, you will develop non-violence. Only then can you experience eternal bliss - your inherent nature, and the very nature of the divine".

The Devotional Wing promotes the teachings of Bhagawan Baba through devotional activities such as Study Circle and Bhajan Singing.
Sai Baba says “What is a study circle? Study circle means taking a point and each person discussing what is the meaning of the point to them. Each person gives their point of view, and finally values are derived from this…..The study circle looks at different facets. It is like a diamond with its different facets, but there is one facet that is flat, the top facet, and from this all can be viewed. To discover the top facet is the task of the study circle.”
We conduct study circles on various topics every Friday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. For more information, please contact Sis. Ambiga Ravilojan or Sis. Indrani Balasundaram.
Swami has described bhajans as "the process of singing that originates in the heart, not from the lips or the tongue. It is the expression of the joyous thrill that wells up from the heart when the Glory of God is remembered. It is the spontaneous manifestation of inner ecstasy. No attention is paid to the blame or praise that others may give. It does not seek the admiration or the appreciation of the listeners." He also says, “there is no greater means of God-realization in the Kali Yuga than chanting the names of the Lord……There is a big difference between Keerthanam and Sankeerthanam. Keerthanam is an individual affair. It is singing by an individual for the fulfillment of his prayers. Sankeerthanam aims at the well being of the whole universe. That is the primary aim of Bhajan”. Furthermore, Sathya Sai Baba has also emphasized the importance of practicing bhajans to produce great bhavam. Swami advises, “when you want to sing a bhajan, the first 25 times you do it, all your attention will be on the notes and beats. Practicing it 25 times frees you from that. The next 25 times you practice, you can sing confidently but you have to work on developing the bhava or feeling. At the end of 75 times of practice, your singing will be effortless and, as you sing, you will see your beloved Lord in your mind’s eye. After another 25 times of practice, when you sing, not only you but everyone in the audience will also be able to see the Lord in the mind’s eye.”
"The spiritual vibrations produced by bhajans confer great joy both on those who sing them and on those who hear the songs. Bhajans remove all negative thoughts, soothe the nerves, purify the mind and fill the body and the heart with a sweet love."

"Most important, do not ever think that you and God are separate. Think always, 'God is with me; He is inside me; He is around me. All there is is God. I myself am God. I am the Infinite, the Eternal. I am not two; I am one, only one. There is no one else besides me. I and God are one and the same.' To realize this Unity, the first step is to develop Self-confidence. It comes when you realize that God is not outside of you."
